Should have been more specific , you guys didnt get the D1 when it first came out , in the UK the early cars had rubber gskts holding the front screen in up to 1994 . When our high level brake lights came out as standard fitting then so did the bonded windcreen. Roy

No D2 rear door window glass is bonded in , they are all held in with rubber molding. Early D1 windscreen is held in with rubber molding but later screens are bonded .. Roy

There are only a few codes and these are all related to the radio serial number . I used Ebay (im in the UK) and got the code within half an hour. Do a search for radio codes . These guys do it for a living .

Not if you fit a RRC diff and propshaft, throw away the weight and rotoflex coupling at the same time .

If your running a stock D2 then keep it on and keep it quiet . Big tyres and a lift , well your not going to notice it over the extra tyre noise .

Be aware that the D2 saudi grille shown will only fit the early non facelift D2 . I have fitted a modified D1 Saudi grille to my facelift D2 . Trim the sides and the lower edge and it fits a treat. The 3 top mounting holes line up as well .

Yep , was a big problem on D1 but they said they improved glue on D2 dash to cure problem . As the dash is virtually the same then the repair kit for a D1 should fit , it consists of shaped metal strip to go on front edge of dash and its held down with screws .Easily available in UK in...

Can you replace the tie bar on a D2 with a D1 tie bar , or is it too narrow.. Getting some HD aftermarket parts in the UK (the home of the land rover) is next to impossible . Thanks Roy

Sorry no photo , my wife tried to find out if digital cameras bounce (They dont). As i am in UK got part of the shelf at Mercedes dealer . Also seen on UK Ebay wiper blades with washer jets fitted to them , they would work .

Fitted a clip on washer jet to the arm makes a neater job ..These jets fitted to some TVR cars and Mercedes light trucks and Mercedes Vito vans in United Kingdom , dont know if these vehicles are available in the states? .

Not 100% sure about this , but LR do supply blanking plugs , Possibly DCP 7299L but check first ..Roy

What parts can you fit from a D1 to a D2 that are superior . For example fitting D1 wiper arms and blades improves the D2. Early D1 rear diff and prop to delete the rotoflex . Anything else, did i read some steering parts interchange.

Probably a bad earth conection ? Try checking and tightening all earth points. And it might not be the one on the rear breaklight.

Hi... Want to fit a locking diff i have from my old D1 into my D2. Got the driveshaft sorted. But i think I will need longer bolts to mount the 3rd member. Is there a bolt available from LR with the shoulder on it or am i better off looking at a hardware shop. Any body know the size i need?.. Thanks
