Never mind... I read through that 7 pager thread... non-overlapping still has interlocking on the 4' section... so I'm going with the non-overlapping and will add to the chicken coop revolution.
Interesting... ummm... is anything for sale in this thread... I landed here looking for a fuel tank guard... should this convo get moved to the "off topic" chi-chi bang-bang section?
Lucky bastards.... I'm going to have to wait until next Christmas when I head up to my inlaws in PA for a chance to drive in snow... I'm starting to pray now for a blizzard starting on Dec 23 2008 so I get to rough the elements during the roadtrip. I'm heading out to Tahoe next week for some...
I fixed mine today... I bent the gutter upward by using my high lift... I place it inside near the drivers seat on the floor board... jacked it all the way up until it reached the gutter and pressed it upward about 1/4"... worked great.
:jester:
For clarification... I didn't get the feet done or inside of the brackets... The line-x's guys taped off the feet matching up where the fade lines were on the rack so that the brackets would attach as they did prior to the line-x. I figure if I switch a few around it might gain me some...
Wow... what are the odds... I also had my SD rack and ladder Line-x'd this Saturday. Turned out great, I went with the Line-X XTRA since it is fade resistant. Mine would hit, sometimes, on the drivers side prior to the line-x... figured since it wasn't hitting all the time, just the usual flex...
Hey Nathan, do you have pics of your swing away tire carrier... specifically mount points? Is this your own design and fab, or did a local shop create it? Thanks!
I have seen in person both xtra v. regular line-x as well as the owner showed me what regular line-x will look like after years in the sun... it turns gray-ish in color... since I live in FL I'm going with the non-fade option. The existing powdercoat on it is satin/semi-gloss anyways. There...
Is it as simple as buying the D1 arms, swapping and getting the proper D1 compatable blades? No other misc parts to make the arms work... any differences in blade sizes to get? IIRC I saw a post where one side was like 18" the other 22"... maybe it was a thread on Dubs... j/k
Thanks.
$400 for SD rack + ladder here in FL... Line-X XTRA which is their highest end product w/ anti-fade
Edit: I'm scheduled to get it done on Saturday... I can get around to posting pics if anyone cares...
While we're clarifying providences in Canada... Alberta isn't in Quebec either... Red Deer, Alberta where Nathan is from is north of Calgary... famous rodeo town... the CDN Rockys... plus Edmonton has the largest mall in NA... larger than the Mall of America in Minneapolis... good place to dump...
