The batteries in those tire sensors don't last forever, I can see how the original ones may be due for replacement in a 2008. It is possible to disable TPMS entirely, via a diagnostic system like IIDTool or others.
Thank you for posting. Since this will likely be useful to LR4 owners as well... The OE tire pressure recommendation for the LR4 is slightly different, 36F and 42R. Not sure why it's a few PSI higher in front as the two cars are virtually identical, my guess is that the LR4's 5-liter V8 engine...
Bummer. 20 years ago they were THE shopping destination in SoCal for scuba, skying, fishing, camping, backpacking gear... That was before Amazon, Walmart, Target, REI, etc., killed them. 1200 full time and 1600 part time employees. Ouch...

How long ago were the sway bar bushings replaced? Perhaps it's time for a new set... On my 2006 RRS I went through several sets of front (can't remember how many, but at least 4 or 5) and a couple of rear bushings in 7 years and 200K+ miles of ownership. Sometimes they'd give a warning by...
With certain optional configurations (5+2 seating), the new 2014+ Range Rover Sport doesn't come with a spare tire either - or run flats. You get a can of Fix-A-Flat and a small 12V air compressor instead.
The new Terra Grappler G2 are supposed to last even longer (new compound), so far I am quite happy with my 285/60/18s and after 20K miles they barely look broken in. A bit noisy, but no big deal. However, just like BFG, these tires - as well as the original Nitto TGs - don't come in a 19" size.
You can turn it off with a diagnostic tool such as IIDTool. If the Terra Grapplers are inflated at or near factory specs, the sensors shouldn't throw intermittent faults, though. Perhaps the fault is from your partially deflated spare when you first start the car (that one clears after a few...
I have had a Manfrotto 190CX3 carbon fiber tripod with a 322RC2 joystick head for years, very happy with the combination (using with a Canon 7D and a variety of lenses, including some long and heavy telephoto ones that really test the load capacity of the head in particular.) Tripod fits no...
