From the inside is the best. The exterior trim makes it very hard from the out side. Take off the a pillar trim so you can get to the pinch weld.

There are 3 white plastic clips that are attached to the back of the headlight with two screws each....I have a few that are busted and need to find out who sells them? How much? Could not find any on the 6 discoverys at the yard...

sounds like your serpentine belt broke. No big deal (easy fix), unless you did some damage overheating the engine. Open the hood and take a look.

are you referring to the kickdown cable?

Had to original trans replaced on my 96 d1 with 220,000 miles with one from a 97 with 120,000. New trans is shifting a little late (at a higher speed than you would expect) and it is a hard shift. What could cause this? Can it be adjusted to shift sooner?

when its hot and wont start have you tried holding the throttle to the floor and turning it over? If it will start with full throttle it may be leaky injectors. My 95 classic had similar symptoms you are having and after replacing the coil, ignition amp, cap and rotor, etc new injectors...

i will double check the coolant temp sensor.... i replaced the coil and amp with another and same results (no start). It does seem that the problem is too much fuel. if i pull the fuel pump fuse and open the trottle it will start, then i can put the fuse back in and it will run fine.
