2000 D2 needs a replacement window regulator for driver's door. Motor is likely ok, but I replaced the regulator a few years back and I'm thinking of doing the motor now too.
Anyone with them for sale, please post a reply. Thanks ...
2000 D2. I don't have a working fob, and use only the key for locking/unlocking. Alarm goes off when locking the door. The door unlocks fine with the key and the alarm deactivates. The doors lock normally, with no alarm, if I use the electric lock dash button. What mechanisms/connections in...
By the way, I just pulled the horn fuse and reconnected the battery. Alarm resumed, but without terrible racket. Fiddled with the key in the lock until the alarm disabled upon unlock. It's gone back to behaving normally. Either a one-off, or the first sign of real trouble in the door ...
Been awhile since I've posted. I've been using a manual key recently, after losing my key fob. This morning, apparently the alarm wasn't disabled when I manually unlocked the door. Alarm got the horn going, and the ignition froze. Putting key in ignition was no help. Probably something...
Feels like yesterday when she was born, but this week we moved the oldest daughter into her dorm room to start the college career. Mom's a blubbering wreck and I might officially be an old fart now ...
History: had rough running and misfire codes, since it had been 30k since last plugs/wires, I did plugs/wires/coilpacks. After, no repeat codes and smooth running, so all was well. This was 3 weeks ago.
Then a week ago, my battery took a dump. I replaced it (Optima red top) and things were...
By the way, I did end up doing this repair, replacing the broken rod as others have done with a nail. However, I used a 40d nail instead of a 20d. The thickness and width of the nail head allowed for about as much surface area contact on the plastic lock actuator as the original piece, so it...
I'd whack it with the man fist if there was room, but it's a little tight. I'm sure there is a release tab or something on one side of the plastic piece attaching the rod to the latch, but I haven't felt it/seen it yet. Probably painfully obvious, but I'm willing to get flamed if I can get it...
Rave says "Release exterior handle control from latch." How do I do this without breaking something? There is kind of a plastic tab - do I push, pull, or what? Thanks ...
Coyote Canyon at Borrego was good this week. The 3rd crossing was a little high and the kids got a kick out of the mini bow wave. Lots of jeeps out that day, but sadly there wasn't another rover in sight ...
Sorry for the double post, not sure what happened ...
