How does the damn thing come out? I took it off the axle pinion mount removed the 2 screws and it will not budge. I then took the part the joint goes into off and still can't get it out. Is this pressed in and out??:banghead:
varova, thanks for the visual. I did not even know that one was in there. I would have swore up and down those amber lights had been on. I don't understand why they would not come on also if the tail lights and rear bumper lights are coming on. Thanks again for the help.
Oops, I guess that would be important. '97 discovery
When you turn the lights on to the first position before the head lights, the amber lights do not come on any more and there is no other lamp in the housing. I know they workrd before.
Noticed the other day my front parking lights are out but the blinkers still work on both and the hazard lights work also. I checked fuses and all are good. If it was the switch, wouldn't it not work for both front and rear? Also, the little side marker lights forward of the front doors also...
This is a strange question but when I check the oil on my '97 Disco, stick is on the drivers side. Here is the strange part, if the figure on the top of the stick is rightside up (looking at it from the drivers side fender) I get one oil reading. If I put it back in, figure upside down I get...
Update, I checked the fluid the other day by shifting the trans through the gears then to neutral and it was high. This morning I checked in meutral only and it was between low and high. What is going on with this, any ideas?
:banghead:
I checked the fluid level the other morning and it was low. The stick says check when cold idling in "neutral". I got out my Haynes type book and it says check cold idling in "park". I did a search and found both ways being suggested and a couple even said shift it through the...
Maybe I missed it but what about the Rotella T 15/40 synthetic? Or do they only make the 15/40 in synthetic. I read a while back on here that the diesel oils are very high in detergents for the cleaning of the diesel motors internals. I also did some searching and could not find anything...
I saw some Procomp 9000's for about $200 from Rovers north and was wondering if they were any good? Is the ride comparable to the factory shocks or are they like OME's, which I have never had? How do they compare to Rancho RS5000, I have run those on other rigs and were pretty good? TIA
Yes the actuator if that is what it is called. Nope, no pix, just trying to get it finished. I did think about it though.
I hope this is correct.
