The full size IRS is an upsized version of the midsize, which is an upsized version of something off of their sedan platforms. It works, but it wasn’t engineered for a truck to do truck things originally.

Yea, they got three chains too. One in the back, two up front. My mom’s 03 Explorer rattled on startup for a loooong time but never really had any engine issues. Sold it with 190k on it.

1.5 years and 15k miles later my MAF codes haven’t returned.

I had a dirty MAF cause a restricted performance condition. Had to clean it 2-3 times but I eventually cleared the code. Get new air filters, too.
