Best size tire for a P38?

The Atlantic British HD coils are junk in my opinion if you plan to take the vehicle off road (or hit the speed bumps at the mall at more than 10 mph :D ). Had the same coils on my wife's 2000 P38 and the vehicle was constantly hitting the bumpstops on dirt roads. I bought Old Man Emu springs...

    Anyone from Prescott, AZ?

A nice trail is the Senator Highway (it is not a highway) from Prescott to Crown King. The trail is about 40 miles long with other trails of varying difficulty leading to other areas such as Minnehaha Flat, Oro Belle, Fort Misery, Battle Flat, Wagoneer, Lake Pleasant, etc. Crown King is an old...

I knew you would make it. That's a lot of driving. Did the noise of the BFG MT's keep you awake? Enjoy the truck. I sure did.

    p38 Lift

I converted my wife's P38 to coils using the AB kit. The AB coils are way too soft. I replaced the AB coils with OME medium duty springs, 764 rear springs and 761 front springs, for about a 1.5-2.0 inch lift. Also installed OME shocks from British Pacific, N176 front and N177 rear. No...

    how to lift a disco...

I had a numbnut at an oil change place, which will remain nameless, tell me I needed a transmission flush on my 2001 DII. When I asked him how he knew, he said he checked the oil on the transmission dipstick. My response was "really, can you show me how?" That's when it got interesting and...

Whats the best shock setup for washboard and sand?

OME HD springs and shocks on 97DI, with about 20-25 psi in the tires. I drive about 60 miles on dirt roads with washboards, wash outs, etc., at least twice a months. Works great. No problems so far

Should he pick up the rest of the parts?

Sucks big time. I'm up there at least two weekends a month. Never have had anything taken. People like that should be buried face down in front of the saloon with their asses sticking up for use as bike racks

    High Country Sway Bar Disconnects

They are well built, and the install is easy. The biggest pain is to get the existing swaybar bolts off. I sprayed the nuts with WD-40, waited a few minutes, and they came off fairly easy.

    Brake Pads for '04 D2

OEM pads rotors are the best way to go. I used EBC rotors and pads, which gave me lots of problems, i.e. 3 amigos, warped rotors.

Special tools required for lift installation?

From installing several OME HD kits, it also helps to disconnect the front and rear swaybars. While you're at it, I would remove the rear sway bar. Don't need it anyway. Keep the swaybar washers and use them for the new rear shocks. They are a lot beefier than the shock washers and will...
