Thanks, that is exactly the plan, narrow it down a bit with input from you all, then make a trip out, rent a car and drive around to see what looks good and how far the commute really feels, etc. Sounds like I am in for a rude awakening as far as commute times :(

Unfortunately, $$ is a concern. Housing is the most troubling factor in this move as it seems it is about twice what it is here in Utah. Thanks very much for your input. This sort of nuanced discussion is exactly what I needed to help make a good decision.

I am likely going to be moving from Utah to Virginia/DC Area sometime in the coming months. My question to you all is: would you recommend that I use my '02 DII to tow my Chrysler Crossfire cross country like that?? It is about 2,100 miles for this trip and we would probably do it in 3 maybe 4...
