Yep. Were to order a starter? I am not having confidence with Atlantic British Lucas starters as that what i used before and it hasn't lasted long. Pissed I have to do this again.
ok - so it's not the relay. Has anyone has a starter fail where it just slowly turns at first and finally starts with no clicking? Last time mine failed I got a rapid series of clicks before the start. This is a lucas starter from atlantic british so maybe it behaves differently that the...
Finally got the heat shield off. Pain in the a** . Starter looked clean at the connections. Cleaned them a bit and still no joy. I read some where else this could be a relay issue? Where is that and how do i test it? Thanks.
yes - i think i will remove the heat shield and clean up that area good. Looks dirty. I am not planning on pulling the starter out. What is nut size/tool needed for the electrical wire that connects to the starter? And i think there is another connector that just pulls off with a pinch...

When starting the truck it hesitates/struggles and then finally turns over. It's totally silent at first, no clicks, nothing. Then turns over after a few seconds.
Just changed the coolant tank and throttle body gasket. I was getting some coolant fluid leaking under...
Ok - so you guys were correct. Small hairline crack on the back of the tank/ top of nipple. Got the new tank and installed. Coolant level dropped again a little after the test drive. Will top off again once it cools. Hopefully that was it. Thanks.

Not sure why these are so great but this is what i ordered. Made in China.
My original one lasted 24 years.
Only thing about aluminum is you can't see the coolant level.
Cracked tank is certainly a possibility. Only leaks when engine is running. How should the hose be routed then? I didn't adjust that hose routing . It's been that way for a long time and that line running to the throttle body is not very flexible so not sure how big of an adjustment I could...

Just replaced throttle body gasket with kit today because I know they fail and it had a slight leak.
I have had an on going coolant leak issue and after doing the throttle body today and starting the truck back up I noticed a pretty substantial drip from what appears...
This leak has me confounded. Can't see any fluids on the ground nor in engine compartment. I don't have a pressure tester. Overflow tank has been low. I filled up to cold level. Son drives to school on secondary roads about 20 miles round trip. Coolant level drops only after a few days...
