    My Lift Kit Review

Maybe so but I don't think it will ever be what I wanted. I think new original stock springs make the most sense. They are slightly longer than the RTE 2" springs so with the 2" spacers I want have to worry about them dislocating as the RTE ones are very close to doing so. The coil diameter...

    My Lift Kit Review

Well after a few weeks of riding on the RTE coils they are just too stiff. Think I’m going back with new OEM coils and 2” spacers. Anyone else run that combo and like it?

    New Land Cruiser

It's splitting hairs to be honest but their site says "83.22 with mirrors folded in". Tahoe is quoted "81 without mirrors".

    New Land Cruiser

Yea it’s crazy but there are people buying 85k Ineos. Chomping at the bit for a 65k Tacoma. And dealers charging 85k for a Land Cruiser. Seems people just don’t care anymore.

    New Land Cruiser

Out of curiosity I looked it up. The Tahoe is 2” narrower than the GX550. As for lifter failures, it seems that if they fail it’s usually under the warranty period. I don’t hear of many failing after significant miles.

    New Land Cruiser

You can get the 6.2 as well which would be my choice. But yes it’s pricey and 20” wheels on an off road truck is nuts. I’d actually get the GMC AT4 version as I think it’s better looking inside and out.

    New Land Cruiser

Maybe you looked at an older one or perhaps a lesser model with a Z71 trim package. The actual Z71 Tahoe is just as capable and perhaps more so than the GX. 4 Corner height adjustable air suspension, 33” tires, electronic rear locker, true 4 wheel drive, better approach angle etc. the latest...

    New Land Cruiser

Agree, I can't stand the inside of a Toyota. They feel cheap, the doors sound hollow, they are noisy, and I think they are ugly. I think the Land Cruiser is a bit pointless. It's place should have been between the 4Runner and Rav4 not between the 4Runner and GX. Compared to a LR I am sure a...

    How bad is the 5.0?

I almost fell for it. There was a fully optioned one owner nice looking LR4 locally with a “blown head gasket”. I think they wanted 4.5k for it. Just under 100,000 miles. I offered them $1,500 for it which is 1100 more than a recycler would give them for it and save them the towing cost lol. Not...

    How bad is the 5.0?

They are really worth nothing with a bad engine other than parts. Would be much cheaper to find one still in good shape and preemptively change the timing kit. I’ve heard the replacement parts make it a reliable engine.

    My Lift Kit Review

It’s hard to tell by the pictures but after relaxing the bushings I gained about 2” of travel. The car lift is now at 23.5” with the front sway disconnected and the stock rear. Both the front and rear tire now leave the ground at the same time where as before it picked the front tire up first. I...

    I know, fan speed question

While the why still alludes me, I have successfully transplanted an 04 blower housing into my early vin 03 so that I can use the later style resistor and now have a fully functioning climate control.

    My Lift Kit Review

Their 4" coils may be progressive rate but my 2" ones are not. I emphasized that I wanted the softest coil but Simmon isn't the open book ever. He never really provided any options.

    I know, fan speed question

Well the plot thickens. Got another resistor pack from AB that did not solve the problem. Found a 2000 model disco parts truck locally and tried one of my resistors on that truck and it worked. Pulled the ATC from that truck and installed it in mine with the same resistor and it doesn't work...

    My Lift Kit Review

I don't think bushings are what's limiting my travel but who knows. The rear seems to get full travel even with the sway bar still connected. On the front I suspect the spring stiffness is working against it. Since my original post I did loosen and re-tighten the radius arm bushings on the...
