Pinstripe removal

I got a used fender to replace the one I boogered on a tree at Windrock, and it has a silver pinstripe painted down it. Anyone have a good method for removing this? I tried acetone on one spot, and while that did the trick with a little rubbing, it also clouded the surrounding paint.

Heat gun get it good and hot peel it off and finish it off with some of that orange peel cleaning shit.

Buy another fender

Or put pinstripes on the rest of the truck.

Try adhesive remover. Or get a different fender.

Not sure why acetone clouded the pain though.
