Default Differential pinion shims.

Who has them? I need shims to set the pinion bearing preload, not the shim for pinion depth.

Isn't there a crush sleeve and its set by the rotating torque of the pinion? I've never messed with the bearing preload on a Disco, that's how it is on a full size Range Rover.

Besides GBR, Ratech has them- part #1118. They're not a rover part but are the right dimensions. They also have pinion height shims. www.ratechmfg.com

I was thinking you could just run a long bolt through the place where jate rings would mount and attach a loop of good chain to it, one link under the head of the bolt with washers, and one link under the nut side with washers, kind of like a jate ring, but a loop instead.

Yeah, I should have called him, that's where I bought the gears.
I'll need to hit him up for a new pinion seal.

Yeah I've only rebuilt diffs on 03-05 Range Rovers, everything else just gets replaced.
