2 cops to give you shit about your lack of mud flaps. MAN must have been a slow weekend..At least they made you aware of the flap deal so you don't get it impounded.

frankly i can't blame the cop for taking matters into his own hands. he is probably sick and tired of seen hacked up trucks driving thru his town and wishes it weren't so. He then takes matters into his own hands. its a perk of being a cop. pay isnt great but you have influence.

I'd write to the Chief of Police or whomever and make a formal complaint - that sh*t has no place in policing. If they say it and then just walk away after YOU have to explain it to then, then WTF? You obviously know more than they do, so they shouldn't be policing, should they?

On second thoughts, I'd write to the local paper.......

I would ignore it and go on with life...he just confirned he liked yours better then his and wanted to interupt it if not for just what ever time and hassle he could toss your direction.

I bet the state guy was right...he just liked 4x4's and was mad you got to go use one while he worked the holiday weekend:D

Yeah, The state trooper was really cool and nice. Im gonna do what dave garbs did and just carry the plate, removable flares, and flaps in the truck, and when the trail is done, pop um in, and roll..

Velcro works great (the new 3M super sticky stuff) on teh plate so that you can take it off and on at will, zip tie it when it is on so that if you hit hard, you don't lose it...that's the way we elude parking tickets for out bikes here in NYC...slash it off, in my rear pocket, and safe!

It doesn't matter! Sounds like BS to me. Give his supervisor a call, may not be the first time its happened. This stuff makes me mad.

Pretty much I decided to do a round tube flare kinda like the J**P rock fenders, I have a design in mind that i like.

As far as the FUzz.. IM over it now, I decided ill just piss them off by making it street legal by adding flares and flaps, then next time i get pulled over I can be good to go!
