I have a used LR DII brush guard I am installing on my 99.5 DII with fog lights. I cannot get the holes to line up with the mounting brackets b/c the down tubes are contacting the bumper. Is this common? Do I need to cut into my bumper? I'm not sure how much I would be able to manuver the brackets.
Thanks,
Mark

Do you have the instructions?
You do have to do a bit of cutting (about 1" X 5" cut-out).

Email me and I will get you the instructions:

I have the instructions and I did cut the slit. I am talking about where the down tubes bend inward is where it is touching. I will take pictures later today.
Thanks,
Mark

It's a pretty simple install; I've done several. I'm not exactly sure what's hit what reading your description. Type up some more details when you post the pics.

Two thoughts come to mind:
1) Are you sure the bumper is re-installed correctly?
2) Somebody needs to hold the grill guard straight while it is being tightened.
It has been a while since I put one on but I do remember haveing to wrestle a bit with it.
