Dumb brake light question

I've never noticed this before, but I forgot to turn on my headlights one early morning and I noticed that the dashboard lit up when I pressed on the brake pedal. While I thought this was a great safety feature, I noticed that upon further investigation the front lights and both turn signals light up as well.

Does this sound as though I may have a wiring problem of some sort?

TIA

i cant speak for anything over a 96 but mine definatley does not do that! shorts involving the brake lights (break pedal) seem to be a very very common thing with these mochines!
first look @ your brake pedal assembly and make sure there are no worn or exposed wires anywhere!
does it always do it?
what were the weather conditions?
what year, how many miles?
any previous problems, or fixed anything else lately?

found the issue. I had replaced a tail light bulb about 2 months ago. I guess I used the incorrect one. The bulb burned out and cause some sort of short-circuit. I replaced the bulb and all is well.
