Dealing with a genius, vin help needed

Have a customer emailing me, he claims to have an 01 freelander. I tell him they didn't bring the freelander to the US until 02. He insists his is a US spec 01. I ask if it is a 02 with an 01 build date, no it's an 01. He asks if my 03 transmission will fit an 01. No. He asks what the difference is. My model exists, yours doesnt. So he sends me his VIN. SALLNABG11A335762 Can someone run this on carfax so I can tell this dolt he has on 02 and sell him a tranny.

Tell him the Stokio pressure valve is different between the '01 and '03 models, and the transmission won't work.

So is he trying to buy a transmission from you? Sell it to him. He obviously knows best.

Also easy $$$ when he has to buy more stuff from you to make the stupid thing work.
