Hey guys, not to familiar with automatics, but lately when I go to start my car, it wont crank at all. So ill wiggle the shift knob a little bit, and then it will start to crank. But it just cranks and cranks and cranks never starting. So I pull the key out of the ignition, put it back in, and it starts right up. Is the neutral safety switch acting up, or is it something else?
Thanks

How does your keyfob and central door locking work?
everything works great...and it only acts up sometimes, like maybe once a week.

I think you are talking about the inhibitor switch and it sounds like it may be bad or misaligned. It is an easy check though as it sits close to where the kickdown cables goes into the transmission.

There is a small bolt - 8 or 10mm - that holds down a collar on the switch as it enters the transmission. Remove that bolt and collar and use a flat-blade screwdriver to pop the switch out. Good luck.
