All the new ones have that fruity California-reg top. Hard to find new jerry cans without them.

I bought two of these 4 months ago with the flex nozzle. They work great, and empty very quickly. AB now has a federal law disclaimer on the ad which wasn't there when I purchased them. I've had no problems with them at all.

Here is the link for the Cheaper than Dirt genuine NATO unissued cans. They are on back order.

They also have these, http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ZBQ1425-1.html , but the reviews on them are horrible.

There are some Scepter and military equivalent cans made in the US on Ebay new and used for fuel and water. The Scepter fuel cans have to be made before all the new regulations went in place or they are technically not legal for sale in the US.

In regard to the fuel cans, if you get one new or used, it will most likely need a new gasket and red strap to use with gasoline. The original gaskets are for diesel and do not work properly for gas and can expand and crack your screw-on cap. The red tether strap is required by DOT for fuel cans. Used fuel cans are not too bad in price, but new fuel cans are $100+. I would not buy a used water can, new ones are in the $35-$45 range.

Thanks everyone but I'm looking for the plastic scepter brand cans. They are what the military uses.

Why do you want scepter cans? Do you think that they are superior to the steel nato cans?

Of course you would be wrong if that's the case.

I'll take a plastic Scepter can over a steel can any day. I had some steel NATOs a longgg time ago and would never go back to using them after having used the Scepter cans.

Maybe the new Scepter cans are different or something. The one I have is a military issue, but I assume they are all the same.

I currently own some NATO steel cans, have used the military issue plastic cans in the marines quite extensively. I prefer them tenfold to the steel NATO cans.

Some people prefer there cucumbers better pickled, I for one could care less.

Maybe you've got some buddies at Lejeune that can help you out. New and used military grade Scepter cans bring big $$. Check ebay (I posted one). Like you said the steel NATO cans don't compare - they are noisier, harder to use and not nearly as durable.
