"China Adventures":
-- Here are pictures of our trip in April 1999 from Hong Kong to Yunnan, China.
Organised by the Land Rover Owners Club Hong Kong. We had 30 Land Rovers in attendance.
It was not all adventures. The owners visited over ten schools along the way and donated toys,
books and cash donations along the way. Near Lijiang , not far from where General
Chennault of the Flying Tigers had their air base (just before the second world war),
the owners raised enough cash to rebuild a school in a remote village.
We intend to go back next April (on our way to Tibet) to see how the school is coming along.
By the way the school is named "Rover School" in appreciation.
